who we are

Hi! I am Rachael, and I am the owner/operator of saturday’s flower farm, and our resident farmer.

An engineer by day and a chemist by training, somehow still things that grow have always been my passion. In 2024 I bought my first dahlia tuber, and “dug in” from there!

Today I use my small corner of Maryland to grow ever more dahlia varieties and other cut flowers each year. It is my passion to provide gorgeous stems to local florists and flower enthusiasts alike.

Join me on my journey to grow my flowers, my farm, and my business this season.

our values

We chose to give our flower farm to Saturday for a reason.

Whether it is working hard or taking it slow, Saturdays give us time to focus on what is important. So what do we prioritize?

Learning and Exploration

Whether it is learning to grow a new flower, finding new sales outlets, or inventing ways to connect interests and business, we are always seeking out new ways to continue growing.

Fostering Connection

Sharing joy with others and building strong relationships only expands our passion for flower farming. Our favorite interactions come with learning what our customers like, need, and want from their flowers.

Building Consistency

We will always be a business comprised of people passionate about showing up. In business as in life, we work hard to establish sustainable routines, systems, and practices that will bring us back year after year.

Slowing Down

Slow moments and space to breathe allow us to show up more meaningfully for the things and people that matter. Our focus for the farm is to seek the same quality for our products that we find in quiet moments.

Embracing the Seasons

Here in Maryland we experience four seasons. Each one brings something unique and necessary. Whether it is the excitement of new growth in spring or the space to dream all through the cold nights of winter, we move with the seasons.
